Paikka:
Pohjois-Savon ELY-keskus, Viestikatu 1, Kuopio. Other locations and instructions for registration below.

FinNode Future Sessions are designed to make people think, focus and reframe. They activate inner thinking allowing people to create and solve problems, even the ones they did not know existed.

LIFE, the FinNode project, was developed to clarify the uncertainties that lie between the technology and consumption gap in today’s healthcare, wellness and technology markets. And, it begins to investigate the “new healthcare marketplace,” apps, devices and gaming. Social media and social health are rapidly joining hands.

The market is saying that accurate and intelligent self monitoring of health, body functions and activities at the employee health, wellness and home levels is seen as the wave of the future and will enhance quality of life and reduce the cost of care.  Monitoring of one’s health has become a new means to determine if we will live longer and healthier by knowing more about our daily health and activities. Yet, there are many open questions as the ecosystem matures.

Join us to see the new LIFE Map and hear the signals. Your input is valuable.  We want to share our finds but also want to hear your thoughts on the future business of wellness monitoring and connected health.

We want you to benefit and grow. We want to jointly Live In the Future Easily with you.

Gain a competitive and strategic advantage and join us November 22, 2011 from 09.00-11.30 for “YOUR LIFE” Finnode Future Session!

Signals

What are signals and what can they tell us? More important, how can you benefit from them?

The signals tell the story. They have allowed FinNode to begin to map the health-wellness-quality of life ecosystem. This is a new reference that will allow you to see the future in a different light and from a new perspective. Signals lead to the all the information, especially that which you did not know you did not know.

During the LIFE project, a wide range of signals were collected -- children to seniors, childhood obesity to active citizens, from how to mange diseases to how to plan healthy meals, from how to exercise to how to change behavior and a whole lot in between for that 80% of the population that is neither chronically ill nor physically fit.

Food signals were also captured. Do you know about HERO foods? Food is a driver.

What ever you wish to call the integration of health and technology – connected health, m-health, e-health, telemedicine – it is the Future. And, as much as we see and hear about great advancements, many new questions and challenges arise – what should we be measuring, who gets connected and why?

Education at all levels is needed and a new lifestyle based on the most suitable balance between the elements of life – work, play, nutrition, exercise – is necessary.

Please join us for this interactive learning session.  It is your LIFE.

Goals

LIFE was developed to define the new direction of the healthcare-wellness ecosystem vis-a-vis monitoring and connectivity. Its output will serve as a foundation for companies, researchers, institutions, etc. to gain new insight that will add value and efficiency to their work.  In essence, to better inform and prepare Finnish companies, labs and universities allowing them to refocus R&D and grow globally and profitably.

YOUR LIFE is the first in a series of business development and growth initiatives.  By taking this first step, you are creating a new start for the future generation of globally successful Finnish companies and technologies that will help position Finland as a new health science and healthcare technology resource and trusted player.

Who Should Attend

Finnish life and health science companies, ICT companies that cross pollinate healthcare and wellbeing, healthcare informatics companies and those active in the sensor and measurement space. University researchers and VTT. Venture capitalists, Tekes and angel investors. SHOK and OSKE players and Tekes program managers. Finpro Life Science CIT members and local and regional Finpro consultants. And, our hosts from the ELY Centers.

About FinNode Future sessions

FinNode Future sessions provide foresight information in form of concrete examples from around the world to the Finnish companies and organizations. The concept has emphasis on interaction which gives the participants added value in a new way. The goal for each session is to create value networks around a certain topic and to find concrete business opportunities for this network. FinNode Future sessions are organized simultaneously in several different ELY centers which are linked to each other using videoconference facilities. The duration of the session is approximately 2,5 hours and it is free of charge.

See you at the session!
